Me Valérie Black St-Laurent is the driving strategic force behind some of Ginzburg Legal’s most successful defenses. As Strategic Counsel, she masterminds the approach for our most challenging cases—drafting persuasive legal motions, planning winning strategies, and preparing for trial with meticulous precision. Her unwavering commitment to defending Charter rights has helped us secure numerous acquittals.
A recognized authority on racial profiling and wrongful convictions, Me Black St-Laurent is a sought-after speaker who has presented at important legal conferences, including those organized by the Ontario Criminal Lawyers Association and the Quebec Bar. She recently collaborated with Justice Canada on the National Training Project for Impact of Race and Cultural Assessments (IRCAs)—a groundbreaking initiative in Canadian criminal justice.
Licensed in both Quebec and Ontario, she also serves as Director of Operations at JuriGo and sits on the Board of Directors of the McGill Innocence Clinic. Whether in the courtroom or in the community, Me Black St-Laurent is a passionate advocate for justice who fights tirelessly for every client.
